CHILLER 24 – OPEN FOR ENTRIES!

Yes!  It feels so good to be typing that the Chiller 24 is now open for entries in 2025.  All the ups and downs over the years it’s just so right to bring it back to the remote trails of Deadwater.  Nov 8th is the date set for people to get their race on round the hard wearing trails of Kielder.  The campsite once again hosts us which means the facilities will be open to all as long as it doesn’t freeze!  Last time the option of a mid or post race shower went down very well.  As before, every single entry gets on to the campsite, one vehicle per team with all extra vehicles being placed in a nearby car park.  All vehicles will be on hard ground so if you’re bring a gazeebo then we’d recommend hard ground pegs or weights.

Riders can opt to tackle the whole 24 hours solo, ride with a pal in a pair or take the team option and spread the pain between 4 riders.  There really is an option for all levels, be it a beginner or seasoned racing pro.  24 hour mountain bike racing is such a social and friendly sport with like minded people willing each other on to keep riding or helping each other out when problems arise.  Mechanicals will be covered by Team Cycles who have recently taken over the bike shop and will be in the event HQ to fix problems as quickly as possible.  The Doughbox will also be on site with it’s amazing wood fired pizzas, barista coffee and many snack options.
